Today I followed my intuition and listened to a short clip of the fabulous Eckhart Tolle who spoke about what it is like if we are able to let go of thinking, the kind of thinking that does not do us any good, like repetitive thoughts of judgements or self-blame. If we are able to do that we enter into formlessness, a ”vibrantly alive stillness” where we experience a deep knowing without knowledge.
This, according to Eckhart, is where sanity is found.
Yes, this is where sanity is found.
It is a place where our experiencing of the world is not filtered thorough judgements and opinions. We are able to just experience the moment as it is. And just be.
We don´t need to know anything. We do not need to be right.
Sometimes people wonder why I do not react so much to things people have said to me, for example, when I started my latest job I had some not very nice things said to me by a man.
I feel that I do not need to prove anything. I do not need to raise anger. I do not like feeling judgmental or focus my energy on blaming.
I like to be. Here and now.
In the space Eckhart talks about, the vibrantly alive stillness, we are able to be who we are without needing to know who we are. The thoughts that once defined us are not important anymore.
I can say that to go through this transition can be very challenging and quite frightening because we are so used to be able to define ourselves. Who are you? What are you like?
And to explain this state where thoughts do not define us…. It is not easy.
Some of us are it all the time and some of us go in and out. For a while we may go back into thought and definition and labels, and then back again into the alive stillness, or near it anyway.
And that alive stillness.
What a beautiful place.
The peace that is found there is beyond words.
I hope you too can experience this.
Feel free to write to me if you have comments or questions on this.
Man, I am such a hippie.

Watch out for those hippie-vibes. They might hit you straight in the heart!
